Gialdi Vini SA was founded in 1953 by Guglielmo Gialdi, who initially dedicated himself to the wine trade. In 1984, after the acquisition of a winery in the Sopraceneri region, the company began to produce its own Merlot wines with passion. Thanks to the creativity of his son Feliciano, the current company director, Gialdi Vini underwent further development with new projects linked to the territory. The company's philosophy "To each region its tradition, to each region its wine" reveals the intention to value the organoleptic peculiarities of the soils from which the grapes come. Hence the two lines, the Gialdi line that proposes wines from the north of Ticino, savoury and austere with spicy notes and great ageing potential, and the Brivio line that focuses on the production of wines from the south of the Canton, softer, more intense and fruity.
