The Nature Trail

Along the easy path that connects the restaurant and the station at the summit (1620 m), with the intermediate station of Bellavista (1220 m), 12 information tables invite the walker to stop briefly and observe some of the natural characteristics of the mountain.
Designs and texts in four languages explain on each table in a clear and simple manner, the marine origin of Monte Generoso, the geological changes it has undergone, the glacial period and the natural peculiarities belonging to the region.
The 12 tables are dedicated in particular to the vegetation, pollination, colours of the flowers, woods, rocks, caves, fossils, karst phenomena, butterflies and chamois.
