Pathway of the planets

The first impression one gets during the walk among the stars, is the hugely disproportionate dimensions (small) and the distances (big) of the various heavenly bodies. It is marvellous to discover that, if one were to use the same scale, the star closest to Earth would be only 4,000 km away!
The path begins on the eastern square of the Hotel-Restaurant Vetta and reproduces the planetary system on a scale of 1:10 billion, reduced to a course 600 metres long. Every planet is presented with an explanatory table and a three dimensional model of the sun (a metal sphere 14 cm in diameter), and at a proportionate distance the tables of the Planets, from Mercury to Pluto, follow one after the other.
This pathway is ideal for schools and families.
