Organising the next school excursion?

On Monte Generoso’s little cog train, you can admire breathtaking alpine views with the great natural park that straddles the Italo-Swiss border between the Lakes of Lugano and Como.
We should like to propose for your consideration and inclusion in your programme, a visit to the “Grotta dell’Orso”, where you can see bone relics from at least 300 cave bears of varying ages, dating from between 35,000 and 45,000 years ago.
The cave has been prepared for the visiting public and is reachable in 30 minutes along a convenient path that starts at the Vetta. The visit is guided by students of palaeontology from the University of Milan. .
A second possibility is the Astronomical observatory on Monte Generoso, with its powerful, 61 cm diameter telescope. A helpful astronomy expert will help you discover and observe the secrets of the heavens.
We also have available a lot of didactic material in respect of the many naturalistic phenomena on Monte Generoso.

The Vetta offers facilities for courses away from the school headquarters, with two rooms available, one for lessons and one for leisure activities.
In the leisure activities room there are various games available.
