The little train would disappear into a tunnel and reappear a moment later and there was a constant wish to have more tracks, bridges and points in order to invent and create ever more varied routes…..
Now your memories become reality, on board our little electric cog trains, the steam train from 1890, the oldest in circulation in Switzerland and the train from the 1950s, all perfectly restored.

Attractions
The guided tour of the Astronomical observatory from which you can view the heavens can certainly complete the excursion to the Generoso exclusively and unforgettably!
You can also visit the “Bear Cave”, and see bone relics from at least 300 cave bears of varying ages, dating from between 35,000 and 45,000 years ago. These can be reached along a convenient path just 30 minutes from the Vetta Restaurant.
Monte Generoso "Nature": Guided hike to get to know the nature of the Monte Generoso.
Monte Generoso "Via Ferrata": Guided "Via Ferrata" for adults and children from the age of 8. Ideal for people, who love hiking and would like to start with Vie Ferrate or secured trails.
The kitchen
The dishes want to mirror the cooking tradition of the Ticino and Lombardia regions, from the risottos to the polenta and the braised rabbit, following the flow of the seasons as closely as possible. Simple dishes and sometimes rather rustic, but always of high quality and presented with care and love.The salami and cheeses are of local production and, whenever possible, actual products from the district of Monte Generoso. With a bit of luck (because it is not always available) we are even in a position to offer guests the “mythical” Zincarlin cheese of the Generoso and the Valle di Muggio.

For the person with a birthday, on the day itself the travel ticket is free. You just have to present an identity document that includes your date of birth at the ticket office of Capolago or at the station of departure in the valley.
Euro are accepted, the daily exchange rate will be applied
